Our board-certified dermatologists, Dr. Greg Van Dyke and Dr. Jasmine Yun, offer a minimally invasive, in-office alternative to a facelift called a thread lift that uses dissolvable sutures in the face to lift, rejuvenate, and smooth sagging skin.

At Van Dyke Yun Dermatology, the thread lift procedure uses Silhouette InstaLift® and PDO (polydioxanone) threads to contour loose skin on the face, including sagging cheeks, deeper nasolabial folds (the lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth), an undefined jawline, and saggy jowls. Over time, the presence of these absorbable sutures stimulate the production of collagen for a firm and healthy complexion.

Our thread lift procedure is performed in one of our private exam rooms in about an hour while you are awake. Local anesthesia may be used to numb your face for added comfort. We will mark the points of entrance and exit on your face, then we will use a fine needle to insert the thread throughout your skin and tissue. By carefully pulling the thread, we will reposition and tighten your skin. Once your thread lift is completed, you will be sent home to recover. While you might experience some redness, bruising, or swelling for a few days, you will likely be able to see results from your thread lift directly following your procedure.
Your smooth skin and contoured appearance can last you several years with proper care. To maintain your results, Dr. Van Dyke or Dr. Yun may suggest additional threads in the future.
