How does Potenza RF Microneedling work?
Potenza’s Tiger Tip™ technology allows us to perform both shallow and deep treatments at the same time, resulting in faster, more customized treatment. When the device is placed on the skin, the microneedles penetrate tissue and radiofrequency (RF) energy is applied to the target area. In the weeks to follow, collagen remodeling and elastin strengthening begins.
What is the recovery period after Potenza treatment?
Our patients typically experience swelling, redness, or irritation immediately after treatment that lasts about 2-5 days, depending on the intensity of treatment.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of sessions you’ll need depends on the condition of your skin as well as your desired results. During your consultation, we will create a treatment plan specifically tailored to your needs. Patients will notice brighter, tighter skin with just one Potenza treatment, but we recommend a series of 3-4 treatments, spaced 6 weeks apart for best results.
What skin concerns and body areas does Potenza treat?
We use Potenza RF microneedling to treat a variety of skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin tone and texture, large pores, scarring, blemishes, skin laxity, and stretch marks. We can treat virtually anywhere on the body, but find the most common areas include face, neck, and décolletage/chest. The Potenza system is also capable of treating thinning and balding hair with Exosomes, which have been clinically proven to help regenerate and regrow hair in both men and women in the early stages of hair loss. All cells produce exosomes, which are extracellular vesicles that carry nucleic acids, proteins, lipids, and metabolites.
What can I expect on my treatment day?
In the exam room, we will wash and apply numbing cream to the skin. Once the anesthetic kicks in, we will begin Potenza RF microneedling. During the procedure, you’re likely to experience pinpoint bleeding and sensations of stinging or mild burning, but it’s usually well tolerated with anesthetic. We will brief you on any aftercare procedures and apply sunscreen before you leave. Strict sun avoidance is required in the following weeks.
How soon will I see results?
Our patients start to notice brighter, tighter, and more radiant skin in just a couple weeks, with maximum results in 2-6 months, once the body has had time to produce new collagen and elastin.
